Le Refuge, the iconic Flamingo Pink daybed spotted poolside at the Beverly Hills Hotel and at the Moco museum in Amsterdam, features larger than life palm leaves that create an idyllic sanctuary atop a teak base. The furniture piece, designed by Artist and Designer of the extraordinary, Marc Ange, first debuted in collaboration with The Invisible Collection and Green Gallery at the Wallpaper* Handmade exhibition space within the Mediateca di Santa Teresa, Milan, during the 2017 edition of Fuorisalone. Eclat’s team was on-site to manage the exhibit on behalf of client Marc Ange, and succeeded in securing unparalleled visibility for the piece, with a press campaign that resulted in the creation of the title “The Most Instagrammed Piece”. As the name suggests, Le Refuge was the most visited and photographed piece of the fair, and, still to this day, it remains a popular refuge where one finds comfort and peace; it provokes an escape from reality to a jungle-like dream. Subsequent to its debut and instant fame, Le Refuge was awarded the official Wallpaper* Award for “The Most Instagrammable Piece” and invited to be displayed during Dubai Design Week and Budapest Design Week.
